Where is the École des Cordes studio located?

Is there a minimum age to participate in the activities?
Yes, all activities are strictly reserved for adults (18 years and over).
What are the best times to contact us?
You can contact us by email or via the form at any time. We generally respond within 24 to 48 hours, Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 8pm.
Can I give a course or session as a gift?
Absolutely! We offer gift vouchers for group classes, private classes or immersive sessions.

What levels are offered for group classes?
We offer three levels:
- Level 1 – Foundations: Learn the basics of Shibari to get started safely.
- Level 2 – Structures: Enhance your skills with harnesses and advanced techniques.
- Level 3 – Suspensions: Master semi-suspensions and full suspensions safely.

What are the differences between group and private lessons?
Group lessons: Learning in a group with exchanges of experiences between learners.
Private lessons: Personalized instruction to address your specific needs.
Can I book a private lesson to delve deeper into a specific technique?
Yes, private lessons allow you to work on specific points, such as the TK/Gote, transitions, or more advanced patterns like suspensions. Do I need to bring a partner for group classes? Yes, a partner is required to practice the exercises taught.
How do I book a course at the School of Strings?

What equipment should I bring?
For a beginner course: Bring 3 to 5 jute or hemp ropes.
For an advanced course: Between 8 and 10 ropes, depending on the level.
If you don't have any, we offer you the possibility to buy some on site or in the Shop.
FAQ – Private Immersive Sessions
What is a private immersive session?
A unique experience where you are restrained by an experienced instructor. The focus is on sensations, emotions, and introspection. Find all the information related to private immersive sessions on the dedicated page.
Do I need any prior knowledge to participate?
No, no experience is required. These sessions are not focused on technical learning.
Is it possible to do an immersive session as a duo?
Yes, we offer sessions for one or two people depending on your preferences.
Can I keep a souvenir of my session?
Upon request, a photo or video recording can be arranged to immortalize this moment.

Yes, an account is required to view free videos, rent on demand, or subscribe to the unlimited pass.
What is the difference between video on demand and an unlimited pass?
- On-demand (VOD): Purchase a specific video individually
- Unlimited Pass: Access the entire catalogue for a set period, in the form of a monthly renewed subscription
What content is included in the unlimited pass?
The unlimited pass gives access to:
- Immersive sessions focused on sensations

How does access to videos work after purchase or subscription?

What are the delivery times for online orders?
Orders are generally delivered within 5 to 7 working days in mainland France, as well as in Europe.
Can I get advice on choosing my equipment?
Absolutely! Our team is available to guide you in choosing the ropes and accessories best suited to your needs.
What are the return procedures for a product or item?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt, provided the products are unused and in their original packaging. Contact us by email for return instructions.
