Alex Dirtyvonp shibari

A course dedicated to Shibari

Alex DirtyVonP explores shibari with a rigorous yet sensitive approach, seeking to deepen and transmit this art with sincerity. His journey, enriched by exchanges with major figures such as Akira Naka, Riccardo Wildties, Georg Barkas, and Teshin, testifies to a quest for constant learning and evolution.

His early career was marked by a fascination with rope.
His interest in shibari began in the early 2010s, drawn to the aesthetics and emotional intensity of the practice. Between 2013 and 2016, he trained with Akira Naka, a Japanese master known for his erotic and demanding style. This immersion allowed him to explore the depth of the bond created by the ropes and to refine his own language, where restraint, connection, and aesthetics play a vital role.Alex DirtyVonp Shibari artist france

The School of Ropes: A Place of Transmission.
In 2016, driven by the desire to share his vision of shibari, he took over the School of Ropes and transformed it into a space for exchange and transmission. His teaching emphasizes intention, listening, and precision of movement, while placing safety and respect at the heart of the practice.

Encounters and influences:
His approach has been enriched over time through exchanges with major figures in shibari and contemporary bondage:

  • Riccardo Wildties: introduced him to semenawa, where constraint and pain become tools of expression and emotional intensity.
  • Georg Barkas: brings a philosophical and psychological approach to bondage, fostering a deeper reflection on the scope of this art.
  • Teshin: offers a meditative and introspective vision of shibari, inspiring a more connected and introspective practice.

A commitment to the dissemination of shibari
With Stéphanie Doe, sex therapist and shibari teacher, he co-authored The Art of Bondage, published in 2024. This book offers illustrated exercises and a reflection on the emotional and psychological aspect of shibari, highlighting trust, communication and consent as essential foundations of this practice.

Today: Sharing and exploring.
Alex DirtyVonP continues to teach in France and internationally, sharing an approach to shibari where emotion guides the gesture. He pursues his journey with humility, constantly seeking to refine his understanding of this practice and to transmit it accurately.

His journey illustrates the richness and diversity of shibari, an art in motion, shaped by encounters and experiences, which reinvents itself with each tie.

An artistic and sensory vision

For Alex DirtyVonP, Shibari is not simply a technique, but a dialogue between bodies. He explores the impact of movement, the meaning of each knot, and the dynamics of tension and release. His stage and teaching work reflects this quest for authentic connection, where the rope becomes a medium of expression and transformation.
His performances, renowned for their intensity and subtlety, have allowed him to share his vision in France and internationally, offering an approach to Shibari that is both elegant and sincere.
