Resumption of Shibari classes at the Ecole Des Cordes: conditions and programs.

Classes resume at the School of Strings

First of all, I hope that this period of lockdown and then post-lockdown went as well as possible for each of you.

Good news!
Health guidelines allow gatherings of up to 10 people, provided that barrier gestures are respected.

Although my capacity allows me to accommodate 8 pairs, until the situation is fully resolved, I have chosen to:

  • Classes should be limited to a maximum of 4 pairs so that everyone can enjoy a 4m² space
  • only maintain classes whose program takes place on the floor and does not impact breathing (which will already be hampered by wearing a mask)

What are the consequences?

  • no impact on the price
  • I've chosen not to bring in a model to limit the risks => that's why I'll need a volunteer for the exercises (everyone will need to wear a mask).
  • The equipment cannot be 100% cleaned since the ropes and tatami mats are not actually washable. If possible, I recommend bringing a mat and investing in your own ropes (two are needed for the introductory course). Of course, I will have some to lend and sell on site.

Actions to be taken:

  • Wearing a mask is mandatory for everyone from arrival until departure
  • Hand washing with soap (+ hydroalcoholic gel) upon arrival (+ health guidelines implemented since 17/3/2020)
  • separate changing rooms on site
  • Please remember to bring your own water bottle to avoid using and mixing the cups usually provided

Course content offered

I took advantage of this lockdown to revise the course program. Nothing changes except the course titles.
Modules 1 and 2 have been merged with the introductory course . Therefore, there is a new program for Modules 1 & 2.  This allows me to offer the following curriculum:

  • 10am-1pm: Introduction (formerly introduction + module 1 + 2)
  • 2pm-5pm: Modules 1 + 2 (new program)

Course prices

  • Initiation: the price remains at €100 (formerly called initiation + module 1 + 2)
  • The new modules 1 and 2 are €40 per class, or €80 for the afternoon. Those who wish to continue after their introductory session and take these courses will benefit from a reduced rate of €150 per day instead of €180.
It is also possible to take these two modules later in the year (€40 per class).

Course dates
and schedules are available online on the website and are up to date.

For those who do not wish to attend group classes, it is possible to convert the purchased class into a 1.5-hour private lesson .  (Usually €200/2 hours) Contact me by email for details.

The cancellation conditions remain the same:

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the reserved date: no postponement possible = you must book again (except with a medical certificate)
  • Cancellation made more than 7 days before the reserved date: possibility of postponing to a later date (postponement possible only once)

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your patience and adaptability during this difficult time for everyone !

We look forward to welcoming you soon
