FAQ: Everything you need to know about our Shibari Shop
Which kits and ropes should you choose to start practicing Shibari?
If you're a beginner, we recommend our starter kits, specially designed for beginners. These kits include soft, ready-to-use ropes and sometimes a practical guide to help you with your first experiences. You can also opt for jute or hemp ropes treated for easy handling. For more details, see our dedicated article: “What equipment should you choose to start Shibari?”.
How do I maintain my Shibari ropes?
To care for your ropes, we recommend using a special wax designed to protect the natural fibers and extend their lifespan. Apply the wax regularly to maintain their suppleness and prevent them from drying out. You can find this wax in our shop, specially selected for the care of Shibari ropes.
What delivery times can I expect?
Shipments are made on Mondays and Fridays. Depending on the date of your order, it is prepared and shipped within 24 to 48 hours of the shipping date. Delivery times then vary between 3 and 5 business days for most destinations. A studio pickup option is also available if you wish to receive your order more quickly.
Can I return a product if it doesn't suit me?
Yes, you can return a product within 30 days of receipt, provided it is in perfect condition and in its original packaging. Contact our customer service to arrange the return. Return shipping costs may be your responsibility, except in the case of a defective product.
Are there any recommendations for choosing the length or type of rope?
For beginners, we recommend 8-meter jute or hemp ropes, treated for extra softness. If you are more experienced, 10-meter ropes allow for more complex sequences. The choice between jute and hemp depends on your personal preference: jute is lighter and quicker to handle, while hemp is more robust and offers a more natural feel.
