Gorgon

Gorgone (she/they) is a French rope switch, teaching and performing around the world since 2011, and co-founder of Shibari Study.

Her method and approach to ropes are deeply influenced by her personal interest in and practice of conscious movement, as well as by fifteen years of intense professional experience on both sides of the rope.

Her teaching is aimed at both riggers and models, guiding them towards the development of active, conscious and effective partnerships, in order to create safer and more successful rope experiences.

Pedagogy and technical approach

She takes the time to deconstruct everything she teaches, from the most fundamental to the most complex attachments, always addressing both the mechanics of the rope and that of the body in each position.

His teaching aims to build technical autonomy, freedom and creativity in the student's practice, while maintaining an essential base of safety, knowledge and awareness.

With Gorgone, you will learn not only the "how", but also the "why" behind each attachment, so that you can adapt to each new partner or situation and fully integrate these principles into your personal practice.

Shibari vision

At the heart of his approach and teaching is the idea that shibari is not about putting "the rope on the body", but about placing "the body in the rope".
